Thank you to everyone who shared your feedback and suggestions regarding our food waste policy.
We would like to clarify that charging a penalty is never our purpose. Our goal is simply to encourage responsible dining and reduce unnecessary food waste.
At Driftwood Chinese Buffet, we have not increased our buffet prices for over 5 years. We continue to offer:
🎉 FREE buffet for children under 5�🎂 FREE buffet on your birthday�🍽️ All-you-can-eat dining with a wide variety of choices
We believe everyone should feel comfortable taking the food they need and enjoying their meal.
However, food waste remains a serious issue in the restaurant industry and in our community. Every day, large amounts of perfectly good food are thrown away. As a business, we feel a responsibility to help raise awareness and encourage more sustainable dining habits.
We truly appreciate the constructive feedback we have received. After listening to our customers and community members, we have decided to adjust the benchmark from 50 grams to 100 grams.
This policy is not about generating revenue. It is about encouraging mindfulness, reducing waste, and protecting our environment for future generations.
We will continue listening to your suggestions and making improvements whenever possible.
