Pickrell's Mobile Ice Cream Ice cream service that grew up in the West Island. We offer 24 delicious flavours of ice cream, sorbet, yogourt and vegan. Then in 2003, disaster struck.

Starting in 1983, thousands of visitors made summer sojourns to Pickrell’s Ice Cream Shop in Pointe Claire Village. And they kept coming back for our high quality, friendly service, big portions and clean premises. A fire destroyed the Ice Cream Shop that had been the summer heart of the village. Sadly, it was impossible to rebuild. After the fire, we decided to pull a page from the music industry

and go on the road. We positioned ourselves as a one-of-a-kind ice cream service that catered corporate or public events where families were the main guests. It has been a grand success. Now, we could bring our Pickrell hospitality and ice cream expertise to events in and around the Island of Montreal. We like to think of ourselves as “The Rolling Cones.” ™

But we never left Pointe Claire Village entirely. Pickrell’s Mobile Ice Cream is a sister company to Westmount Florist Ltd. Another family business established, owned and operated by the Pickrell family. And built on the same customer service principles that make our mobile ice cream parlour a fun success. Pickrell’s Mobile Ice Cream is a registered Quebec company. We are fully insured to do business on private property or with licensing by the client on public property. Unlike a food truck we do not collect individual payment from customers. Our fees are negotiated and contracted on the basis of the total number of servings in advance and reconciled at the end of the event. Just like any other caterer. From a health safety standpoint, we have always passed inspection. And since starting our business, we’ve taken pride in providing the safest, cleanest, most hygienic food service environment possible in a high heat outdoor environment.

Hey Ice cream lovers!

We are heading for a very busy summer so far. We are looking forward to kicking off the 2024 season and serving up some pretty delicious flavours of ice cream. Our prices have remained the same since 2020 and no change this year either. Don’t forget to reserve your dates as we are getting lots of requests. The trailers are anxiously waiting to get back on the road again and see you soon. We look forward to serving you again.

It’s with great sadness that we had to put Frankie down this afternoon. He was given 3 to 6 months in early October because of water in the lungs and degenerative heart disease. I got to spend another 4 months thanks to some meds from our Vet and local Pharmacy. He was an awesome mascot for Pickrell’s Mobile Ice Cream and travelled everywhere with us on gigs, skiing, road trips out of town, Arboretum walks and along the boardwalk in Lachine, his last residents and in the Pointe-Claire Village. He loved being outdoors all day up at the cottage, mostly during winter because he didn’t like the summer very much. He was an unbelievable friend never barked, never bit anyone or anything. He was a true companion, a man’s best friend.
He will always be remembered.

I am searching for a past ice cream freezer service technician he was really good and honest. His name is Billy and his last name is Greek. He used to service our Pickrells dairy bar in Pointe Claire Village in the late 90’s and up until our dairy bar burnt down in 2003. I would love you get a hold of him because I need a service tech because Nestle is no longer in the ice cream business of supplying 11.4 ltr size tubs to Ice cream parlours or food ice cream trucks. They were servicing the freezers which they owned but no longer, which we bought from Nestle. I need to find Billy. Please help.
