We got a bit creative - and used county sweet corn from Lakeshore Farms to make our Roasted Corn Chowder - and yes, that is Peameal Bacon, Fritata, cheddar and fried onions on those Fococia buns - with our own Creamy Garlic Dill sauce - 😋 see ya tomorrow 🥰🤩 ....

There is something so satisfying about watching the journey from tiny blossoms to fresh food on the table. 🌱💛

Today I was so excited to see our pollinators hard at work! I have a feeling we're going to have LOTS of squash this fall. 😂🎃 The first photo is one of our two tiny baby watermelons (it's smaller than a pea! 🍉), and the last photo shows the first of our cucumbers and a yellow zucchini we just harvested ....

We're also growing loads of tomatoes (mmmm roasted garlic, tomato and red peppers anyone?), squash, onions, beautiful yellow zucchini, and carrots (roasted carrot soup YES!) which means when harvest season arrives, you'll be seeing them transformed into MORE delicious homemade soups and daily specials here at The Talking Donkey Bistro. 🍅🥒🍲

From our garden to your bowl... this is truly becoming a farm-to-table adventure, and we can't wait to share it with you! ❤️

You don't need to be Vegan to enjoy our Vegan Wrap with our signature Lentil Humus, because its so delightful! BUT, if you are we got ya covered. Not to mention our Vegan Moroccan Chickpea soup or fresh salad with Maple Dijon dressing - Tomato soup and Chili are also on the menu so come on in and enjoy!

Actual Picture we took in between Brighton and Trenton yesterday as they crossed in front of us on the road only to stop right in front of us, def looked like an important conversation taking place - so... we waited... here is what we thought they may have been saying before they came to some agreement and took off quickly ☺️🤩🤭🤗

It is a perfect day for fresh brewed Lemon Lavender Ice Tea, or try our newest addition, Hibiscus Ginger Lemon Iced tea - all natural ingredients and both sweetened with County Maple syrup 😋 so refreshing!
Either one pairs beautifully with a bowl of our famous Chili, bowl of soup and/or Sandwich.... see you soon!
