THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!!!

Yesterday, something happened at our restaurant that left me feeling hurt.

A stranger came in and directed racist and hateful words toward our servers and me, even telling me that I should leave Canada. It happened in front of our customers, and honestly, it was difficult to hear.

But what happened afterward is what I want to remember.

After finishing their meal, one of our customers quietly left us this little note. Those five words meant more to me than they probably realized.

When you are working hard every day, trying to build a small business, share the food you love, and create a place where people feel welcome, moments like this can really hurt.

But kindness has a way of speaking louder.

To the customers who witnessed what happened and took the time to leave that note — THANK YOU! You reminded me that there are so many good, kind people in this community.

And to everyone who has walked through our doors, supported our little restaurant, shared a meal with us, recommended us to a friend.
We are grateful to be here — sharing a little piece of Vietnam with Peterborough.

🎨 **A little piece of Vietnam, drawn by hand**

If you’ve visited Saigon Wrap & Roll, you may have noticed the hand-drawn sketches on our walls. ❤️

These drawings were created by my brother, an urban sketcher from Saigon, capturing everyday streets, architecture, and little moments through his art.

This September, he’ll be visiting us in Peterborough, and we’re excited to bring even more of his work to our restaurant with a mini art display featuring his urban sketches. ✏️🏙️

And on September 26 & 27, we’ll be hosting a small, casual “Urban Sketching & Art Sharing” gathering at Saigon Wrap & Roll! 🎨

He’ll share his drawings, his journey as an urban sketcher, and the stories behind some of his work. Whether you love to sketch, enjoy art, or are simply curious, we’d love to have you join us! ❤️
