Jack & Jackie Portalakis emigrated in 1973 from the beautiful Island of Crete, Greece to Penticton. It was here in Penticton where they raised their three children, Kosta, Minas and Eftalia. As a family, in 1996 they opened the small quaint, cozy restaurant La Casa Ouzeria. With the support of many and a very loyal clientele they are excited to expand La Casa Ouzeria to their new location, 1090 Main Street. La Casa Ouzeria is a place where people experience delicious food with rich laughter, where friends get together to enjoy a little or a lot, but most of all it’s a charming Casa filled with life’s pleasures. The Portalakis family offers two types of fine cuisine, Greek & Italian. By specializing in traditional homemade dishes, La Casa Ouzeria will provide you with an experience you won’t forget. We invite you to let your mind and taste buds experience the sights and sounds of Europe! A little of this. A little of that. And always enough to share.

At La Casa Ouzeria, some of the best meals aren't about choosing just one favourite. They're about filling the table with Greek & Italian flavours, passing plates around, and enjoying dinner the way our family always has — together.

Some recipes don’t need reinventing. They need remembering. 🇬🇷❤️

At La Casa Ouzeria, many of the dishes served today have roots that stretch back generations — from family kitchens in Crete to our kitchen here in Penticton.

Moussaka layered with tradition. Dolmades made from a family recipe. Lamb prepared with the flavours and techniques we grew up with. And classic Greek dishes made with the same philosophy that has guided our family since opening La Casa Ouzeria over 30 years ago in 1996: good food should be made with care and enjoyed together.

Today, we're proud to still be sharing those traditions with our community — one table at a time.
