Enter Ear Curls; a single earring giving you the appearance of wearing multiple earrings, through one piercing. My name is Shirley Searle and I am the owner and founder of Ear Curls, etc. I grew up in Vancouver, B.C., Canada wo

rking in my family's lapidary and silversmithing business, centered around cutting and polishing gemstones. I always joke that I was "raised with a pair of pliers in my hand". I left the family business, entering entrepreneurship, accounting and computer software design. My passion for creating jewellery never ceased. In addition to my jewellery work, I love to do beaded embroidery, dressmaking, watercolour painting and playing the piano and other instruments. I now live on beautiful Pender Island, a community of around 2000 people, in BC's southern Gulf Islands. I am proud of the originality of design and craftsmanship in each of my pieces. I launched my business in 1999 with the original Ear Curls. Over the years this design has become popular in the jewellery industry and variations have been marketed under various names including "Ear Climbers" and "Ear Crawlers. My ever-increasing product line now includes many other designs, including necklaces, bracelets, anklets, hair accessories, wine charms and a Sterling Silver Martini Spoon to scoop your olive. I work primarily in Sterling, but also in 14K Gold-Filled as well as other mediums, with a variety of beads including crystal, gemstones, and freshwater pearls. I have handcrafted and sold my designs at craft shows and markets across Canada for more than 20 years, but am now turning to online sales with the advent of the evil pandemic we now all face.
