There's a little cafe in Paisley churning gelato by hand, in small batches, with Ontario milk and nothing artificial. The flavour list changes so often the locals just show up and see what's scooping.
Bonfire Gelato & Espresso is the coffee-and-cones side of Bonfire on Queen, right beside the restaurant at 344 Queen Street N. Same family, different room, and worth the drive on its own.
The lemon and the pistachio are the two that keep pulling people back. There's proper espresso, fresh cannoli, and an affogato if you want dessert and coffee in the same glass. And then there's the croissant stuffed with gelato, whipped cream, chocolate and cherry sauce. You order that one for the photo and finish it for the taste.
Grab a cone and walk it down to where the rivers meet. Paisley in July was built for exactly this.
