Did you know that we were the best little coffee shop in Owen Sound, and we are sadly missed! During the pandemic the decision was made to adventure outside the coffee shop realm. So, it happened, and we opened ‘The Yard’, with yummy smoked meats that are done right on the premises. Yes, we are fully licensed. Located @ 1603 2nd Ave. East, come down for a visit.

With great sadness and excitement we have closed The Bean Cellar. After 24 years we felt it was time to move on. We will be opening a new restaurant where we will have room for a patio, no stairs, ample parking, room for social distancing. The Yard will be opening sometime in October. details to come as we get closer to opening. We want to thank everyone of you who made the Bean possible. We love you all. We will be located at 1603 2nd ave E. All gift certificates and credits will be honored there.

“Parking is hard”....You know what’s hard? Putting your passion into a storefront hoping every single damn day it’ll work. Difficult is barely making ends meat for years on end because you believe in yourself so damn much. Hard is feeling like you’ve failed every other month only to smile in between.
Finding a damn parking spot isn’t hard. Put the effort in LIKE WE HAVE, or walk downtown and support a business that might not make it if you don’t. This is my call to all. I’ve been taking care of your sexual health for 4.5yrs and other businesses have for much longer. Please care about us when phase 2 opens next week. Think twice about your purchases and support local when you can.
We’d do it for you, and we’ve shown that.

We are celebrating the Irish today with Steak, Guinness and mushroom pies. We also have "Spirits" of the Irish cupcakes. Chocolate Guinness cupcake filled with chocolate and Irish Whiskey gnache and topped with Irish Cream icing.
