SUNDAY Sept. 27th, THE LAZY RIVER DRIFTERS return to Parkwood Restaurant for an afternoon JAZZ & SWING MATINEE with another stellar line-up of musicians! CHECK OUT THESE DRIFTERS! THE LAZY RIVER DRIFTERS are a spirited traditional jazz band known for turning every performance into a lively trip back to the golden age of NEW ORLEANS music. Blending bright trumpet lines, swinging clarinet melodies, steady banjo rhythms, and warm brass harmonies, the group captures the joyful energy of early jazz while adding its own relaxed personality.
Their repertoire includes classic standards, blues tunes, and upbeat dance numbers that encourage audiences to clap, sing, and move along with the music. Featuring some of Grey-Bruce’s finest musicians, including KEN KELLEY, DON BUCHANAN, PAUL CLIFFORD, GARY DIGGINS, JESSE CORRIGAN and PETER RISSI.
