National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, The Grand Tappattoo Resort and Forest Restaurant pause to remember the children who never made it home, to honour the Survivors of residential schools, and to recognize the families and communities who continue to carry the pain and lasting impacts of this history.

We wear orange as a reminder that Every Child Matters — then, now, and always.

We encourage our guests, staff, friends, and community to take time today to listen to Indigenous voices, learn about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, and reflect on how each of us can contribute to reconciliation through understanding, respect, and meaningful action.

Reconciliation is not only about remembering the past, it is about how we choose to move forward together.

From all of us at The Grand Tappattoo Resort and Forest Restaurant, we remember. We honour. We listen.

Every Child Matters.
