Q: How long have you been part of the Whiprsnapr family?
A: I forget the exact date but Iāve been here about a year and four months.
Q: What is your role here at the brewery?
A: Iām technically the taproom manager but I do whatever is needed here in the taproom :)
Q: If you could describe our team in three words, what would they be?
A. Rad. Entertaining. Nice
Q: What song is guaranteed to be on your work playlist?
A: Before anyone is here: Never Meant by American Football, while the taproom is open: Your Heart Is A Muscle The Size Of Your Fist by Ramshackle glory
Q: What is a fun fact or hidden talent you have outside of work?
A: This is very weird but I have a collection of different and random wall and alarm clocks Iāve collected from thifting. My favourite is a wall clock that looks like an alarm clock - oh god, donāt add that - I just love clocks!
Q: Which event at the brewery has been your favourite?
A: Dog dayz last month was so fun, there were so many dogs! It was just lively and very busy but a great time. Honorable mention goes out to Haunted Prom.
Q: How do you help a new customer pick a beer theyād like?
A: Because I donāt drink beer, I ask what style of beer the customer normally drinks and whether theyāve been here before. This helps with suggestions based on what they have or havenāt already tried.
I also read the can labels and the newsletter to know the flavour profiles/notes and how to best suggest based on their interests.
Q: Can you tell me about the hand drawn tap handle art?
A: We recently upgraded our bar and got new tap handles that were plain and boring, where we had to count down the taps based on the tap list so i started doodling on them.
I love planning the art when I hear about the new weekly releases. Sometimes we ask our customers who arenāt as artistically talented to do the art just for the contrast.
Q: What is your dream concert (dead or alive artists)
A: Amy Winehouse and Modest mouse
My favourite concert so far has been Nine Inch Nails in MTL where we were randomly upgraded - Iām on their Instagram!
Q: Whatās your favourite beer or cocktail to pour/make?
A: Not everyone does, but I like pouring flights!
Q: Whatās your Whiprsnapr take out order?!
Lynwood or Bellwood with hot sauce , extra basil, if Iām ever missing the basil I go grab some from the garden on the patio.
