Our small team is rotating on some much-needed vacation. Our hours will be variable on Thursdays and Fridays until September 9.

We’re back and we’re making a few changes:

- new hours: Tues-Fri 11-3
- takeout only
- COVID-19 safety protocols for you and us 🙂

Never more relevant to me than right now - in so many ways.

Our business has changed, contracted, grown and thrived during this Pandemic. Not quite sure what a second wave would look like...but thank you to everyone that has collaborated with us, supported and encouraged us - including my Family and my Staff ❤

If you’ve ever enjoyed our occasional Bagel days at our café - these awesome Montreal-Style Bagels are from The Bagel Run in Orleans!

As a former Montrealer, IMO (in my opinion), these are hands-down the best Bagels in Ottawa-and they now have a delivery zone. Lucky for me I’m in it.

Enjoy their traditional and. On temporary flavours - delicious!

Dear Baccanalle & Capital Fare Café Customers and Friends,

Thank you for your support and encouragement during this challenging time for all of us.

We are continuing to adjust and are ready to proceed with our original interim plan for safe service.

As an essential local service we are offering online ordering at www.capitalfarecafe.com as well
as pickup and delivery for our Caribbean food company Baccanalle through Ubereats, SkiptheDishes and Love Local Delivery. We will make these services available as long as we feel that it is feasible.

We maintain a high standard of sanitation and hygiene in our location and we have added additional measures to address the current situation - for our protection and ours.

UPDATED HOURS
Baccanalle (Uberats, SkipTheDishes) will be available 4pm - 7pm Wednesdays and 2pm - 8pm Thursday to Saturday.

Our Capital Fare Cafe is located at 595 Montreal Rd in the Phoenix Building, ground floor. Only online pre-payment accepted. Cash or non-tap cards will NOT be accepted for our safety and yours.

Capital Fare Café Temporary Service Policy

We share your concerns about the developments in our community about the health risk posed by COVID-19. We are taking steps to protect our customers, our staff, our families, our community and ourselves by doing our best to limit exposure while we operate. We appreciate your patience as we work to do our part to help protect the safety of our customers, our staff, our families, our community and ourselves while providing you with great food during this challenging time.

Rest assured that we are following public health and industry recommendations to guide safe operations of our café. We maintain a high standard with respect to sanitation and hygiene:
- Frequent surface cleaning with commercial grade sanitizer;
- Use of gloves, barrier papers and utensils when handling food;
- Dish, utensil and cookware cleaning with commercial grade sanitizers;
- Our staff wear aprons and head coverings for our mutual protection
- Frequent handwashing

We are implementing the following temporary changes effective immediately in order to limit points of contact:
- We will be fulfilling advance orders only for pickup or online delivery. The menu will be posted in advance and online. Receipts will be provided.
- Orders must be placed at least 30 minutes in advance and will be available for pickup only (no delivery) at the designated pickup time up until 2pm. Please place your order by phone, text or online.

Our Caribbean flavours are available for delivery under BACCANALLE on Ubereats if you would like to have our food delivered to you (approx. 15km delivery zone)

The Café dining room will be locked to external customers other than staff, management and cleaning personnel. The door will be locked except to pass pickup pre-orders.
