Our Story

Izakaya Shingen is a place where you can take a break from life and enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine that will warm the soul. Our chef has been studying Japanese cuisine in for many years in Kofu, Yamanashi prefecture, the home of the famous historical samurai Takaeda Shingen. He has returned with authentic flavours and dishes home to Japan for Ottawa to finally enjoy!
