Today, we remember someone who became so much more than a customer to us. Reggie became our dear friend, a familiar face, and someone who brought warmth and happiness with him every time he walked through our doors.

Reggie had a smile that could light up a room. No matter what kind of day we were having, seeing that smile made things a little better. He had a special place in his heart for all of us girls, and we always knew how much he cared about us. His kindness, his jokes, his conversations, and simply having him there became a part of our lives.

And, of course, we can’t remember Reggie without remembering his favorites. There was always his rum and Coke, his chicken parm with fries, and then, because no meal was complete without it, a bowl of ice cream to finish it all off.

Those little routines may have seemed ordinary at the time, but now they are some of the memories we will hold closest to our hearts. We can picture him sitting with us, smiling, enjoying his meal, having his drink, and making us feel like we were all part of his extended family.

Reggie may have walked into our restaurant as a customer, but he left a much bigger mark on our hearts. He became family to us.

We will miss his smile. We will miss his laughter. We will miss seeing him walk through the door and knowing exactly what he would order. Most of all, we will miss the person he was and the love and friendship he gave so freely.

Whenever we pour a rum and Coke, serve a chicken parm with fries, or bring out that bowl of ice cream, we will think of Reggie and smile.

Reggie, thank you for being part of our lives. You will always have a place at our table and, more importantly, a place in our hearts.

Rest peacefully, dear friend. You will never be forgotten.
