OCTOBER IS GOING PINK AT BLUEBIRD! 💗

This month, we’re incredibly proud to team up with Westside Secondary School and support their amazing Pink Day initiative, raising funds for breast cancer. 🎀

🍹 We’ll be featuring a special cocktail, The Pink Lady and mocktail, Think Pink, with $2 from every one sold donated to Westside’s Pink Day fundraising efforts.

Look for our breast cancer stickers on your takeout bags, and grab a breast cancer ribbon pin when you visit!

And then comes the BIG day…

💗 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30TH — PINK DAY! 💗

Westside will be hosting their incredible community pancake breakfast, where you may even spot Rick as a PINK BIRD, followed by a full day of pink as students, staff, local businesses and our community come together for a cause that means so much to so many.

The Bluebird crew will be decked out that day in special Pink Day shirts from our friends at Town Tees!

Westside has built something pretty incredible with Pink Day, and we’re so excited to be a small part of it this year.

W**e Wednesday🍷 with Chenin Blanc from Swartland W**ery.
Some people use a glass.
Some people have…less conventional methods. 😂

🇿🇦 From South Africa, this 70-year-old w**ery sits just north of Cape Town, where cool Atlantic breezes help preserve the acidity in the vineyards. Swartland is also known for old vines and expressive w**es, and this Chenin Blanc is a great example.

🍇 Chenin Blanc is a bit of a superstar in South Africa and can take on all kinds of personalities. This one is all about bright fruit, refreshing acidity and a juicy, textured profile, with ripe pear, citrus and a little guava and passion fruit. Fresh, lively and dangerously easy to keep sipping…or whatever it is that Rick is doing here. 😂

Come try it at Bluebird, where it’s currently pouring by the glass. Feel free to enjoy it with a little more decorum than Rick.

We are fans of problems with delicious solutions. 😉

And right now, Swordfish is the answer. Grilled and served on a lemon caper and white w**e with cilantro lime rice and sautéed broccolini! It is fresh, bright, delicious and being featured while it lasts!

Add a cocktail, finish with white chocolate cheesecake and suddenly this Saturday is already looking a whole lot better.

Reservations recommended for indoors.
Patio is open!

The hills are alive…with a little Bluebird! 🎶

Erin took us all the way to beautiful Salzburg, Austria, where The Sound of Music was filmed! From the incredible scenery to walking in the footsteps of one of the most iconic movies of all time, this Bluebird adventure definitely has us singing. 🎵

W**e nightmares are real. 😂

🇫🇷 From Bordeaux’s Right Bank, in Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, Domaine Haut Ventenac is making a name for itself. The appellation is a little off the beaten path, with Merlot at the heart of many of its w**es and a reputation for rich, generous reds.

🍇 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. A pretty dreamy combination, if you ask us. Merlot brings the plush fruit and roundness, Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure and depth, and Cabernet Franc brings a little spice and lift.

🍷 Once it makes it into the glass, things get considerably dreamier. Ripe berries, dark fruit, a touch of to***co and soft, polished tannins make for a seriously comforting profile.
