You know the saying "Make Plans. God Laughs."
Well God, Universe, the Cosmic Divine... I hope you're having a giggling great time!

Life behind the scenes the past 2 weeks has been nothing short of eventful... Life giving Lemons and Curveballs a plenty... there is truly something to be said about the Resilience of us Humans. Alas, I truly believe that everything in life happens FOR us not TO us which brings me to this post today...

Our hopeful location in Guelph is no longer going to be, for reasons I cannot disclose. Albeit a very devastating blow I'm still optimistic about the Future.

Finding a Location has been a very long process and not for the faint of heart, let me tell ya! We always did have our hearts set on returning to Oakville as that is where this all started - It was home for us! Returning to Oakville seemed out of reach as many units we seeked were solely interested in Franchises so we looked elsewhere! (seriously, we've probably scouted over 30 Locations within Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga, Waterdown, Georgetown, Milton, Guelph.. You name it, we've considered it!)

It's been a journey this past year with the 2 REALLY Hopeful Locations that were be the New Home of GEMINI GRUBHAUS - only for them to be ripped away from us in the 11th Hour.

I can't go through losing another location a third time so I've decided to take a different approach and let the Universe guide us to our DESTINED PERFECT Location - WITHIN OAKVILLE! Our hearts belong here. Lots has gone on behind the scene and many more locations have popped up that could work for us so I'm doing things slightly unconventional and a little backwards - makes things more exciting! I'm raising the money first and however much we raise will determine what location will be ours. It could either be North or South Bronte, Downtown, Dundas Core, East Oakville, Etc...

Some units are Empty Shells while others need Major Renovations. Some are on the smaller side and others have more space that will allow for us to create more deliciousness for you all! I'm leaving it up to the Universe to set the new path for GEMINI GRUBHAUS!

My fellow Oakvillians and those who wish to support a Dreamer like me in the pursuit of bringing my Dream to Fruition; your support with our Crowdfunding (in any capacity you can - sharing on social media, with friends & family, even donating if you wish) is so IMMENSELY appreciated!

Back in the 'Vegebitez' days, Experimenting in the Kitchen was an everyday occurrence! My mind races at 100 miles a minute with ideas bouncing around, so I always had a little notepad with me to jot down potential creations, that never left my side (seriously, I brought it to bed just incase I came up with ideas in my sleep!). Burgers however are the perfect vessel for a symphony of flavours, this one so happens to be based on a Reuben. So I pose the Question - The menu is always only 99.9% done for me, always waiting for another idea to potentially take the place of something that's already there... so whilst GEMINI GRUBHAUS is on it's way to becoming a Reality through all of your Generosity & Kindness... What Is YOUR Perfect Burger Combination?! Leave your Creations in the Comments - Who knows, it might make it's way on the Menu!

Having a Dream so Big that the only way it could become a Reality was though the Kindness, Generosity & Help of Others... Wow, that is truly such a humbling & nerve-racking experience. I am never one to ask for help but I believe so deeply in this Vision & have been longing to reignite this Dream of mine!

I can't wait to honour that inner child of mine who loved helping my mom cook & bake so much! The inner child who needed a chair just to reach the ingredients, needing the help of my mom to balance the electric hand mixer and who couldn't wait for the finished product so she snuck a dipped finger full of batter! These are the memories that foods create and why I am so eager to reopen....

There have been a lot going on behind the scenes where there was some major curveballs thrown with our way and it would mean SO much if you could continue to spread the word about our Crowdfunding Campaign to help bring GEMINI GRUBHAUS to life! Our hopeful location felt like Kismet when I first found it & am beyond excited to be able to bring my creations to your palate!

Your Hard Earned Dollars going towards MY Dream is Magic in its purest form and I will never take it for granted nor ever forget what you gracious souls are doing for me... There are not enough words to express my Pure and Sincere Gratitude for all who choose to Donate & Support a Dreamer like ME!

I haven’t made these Nachos since we were last open…. 5 years!! I’m so EXCITED & ready to make them again! Oh and a Little Birdy told me to tell you that there may be 7 more Nachos Added to the Menu!!! Now all I need is a Kitchen to cook!
