$0.45 FOR A TAKEOUT BAG. SERIOUSLY?
Yes. You read that right.
I won’t mention the store, but we’ve been loyal customers there for a long time. Today, when I went to check out, I was asked to pay $0.45 for 1 bag.
I honestly thought they were joking.
They weren’t.
Now, 45 cents isn’t going to make or break anyone. That’s not the point.
The point is what happened to going the extra mile for your customers?
What happened to making people feel appreciated? What happened to understanding that the little things matter?
There was a time when businesses focused on the guest experience—not squeezing another few cents out of every transaction.
Apparently, those days are changing.
At Gelateria Italiana, we see things differently.
We DO NOT charge for takeout bags. And we never will.
Why?
Because our customers are not just transactions.
They are our guests.
We believe in hospitality. We believe in generosity. And we believe that when someone chooses to spend their hard-earned money with us, they deserve to feel appreciated.
The cost of a bag is insignificant compared to the goodwill it creates.
That’s how we do business.
Stay Frosty out there. 😊🍦
