🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦

As a Canadian quilt pattern designer, today feels like the perfect day to celebrate not only our beautiful country but also the incredible quilting community that makes this journey so rewarding.

One of my customers recently shared this beautiful Charmed Star table runner she made just in time for Canada Day. She wasn't able to find the Oh Canada charm pack, so she got creative with fabric strips instead and I absolutely love how it turned out! ❤️🤍❤️

Her message truly made my day:

As Quilt Canada comes to a close, my heart is incredibly full.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the coachhousedesigns booth, visited, chatted, shared your quilting stories, purchased a pattern or kit, joined my Stitch From Your Stash community, or simply took a moment to introduce yourself. Every conversation, every kind word, and every show of support meant more than you know.

This week was a milestone for Skye Thistle Quilts. Seeing my designs displayed at Quilt Canada was something I once only dreamed about, and I am so grateful to have shared this experience with such an amazing quilting community.

Next stop...✈️ Off to Quilt Canada!

Well… the time has finally arrived.
I’m off to Quilt Canada in Winnipeg this Wednesday!

I’m incredibly excited (and maybe a little nervous!) to be attending Canada’s largest quilting event this week.

Over the past six months, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with Barb Cherniwchan of Coach House Designs, who has generously shared her experience, insights, and encouragement as a fellow Canadian quilt pattern designer, helping me navigate the quilting industry and build my business.

I’m so thrilled to be showcasing several of my newest designs in the Coach House Designs booth.

Seeing my patterns at Quilt Canada is a pretty special milestone, and I’m deeply grateful for Barb’s mentorship and support along the way.

✨ Winterberry has officially arrived! ✨

I’m so excited to finally share Winterberry, the newest pattern from Skye Thistle Quilts. 💜🎄

The moment Gingerbread Lane by kileysquiltroom for Moda Fabrics United Notions arrived in the shopAuntie Em's Scrapbooking and Quilting, I fell in love. The rich reds, soft greens, warm gingerbread tones, and charming holiday prints immediately inspired me to start creating.

Winterberry combines classic patchwork with a cozy seasonal feel and was designed to showcase this beautiful collection while creating a quilt that feels timeless, festive, and inviting.

I’m thrilled to be launching Winterberry this weekend at the Common Thread Quilt Guild Show. If you’re attending, stop by and see it in person. I would love to meet you, chat quilting, and hear what you think!

One of my favorite parts of the quilting process is watching a quilt come to life under the needle. The piecing is done, the layers are together, and now it's time to add all that beautiful texture.
