Sometimes people ask us how Ronnie Don’s Ice Cream got started, how we came up with the name, and who “Ronnie Don” really is. ❤️🍦

It all started with a dream, a small ice cream shack tucked away in our alleyway, four tubs of ice cream, and a single chalkboard menu. We never imagined that one day we’d grow into the storefront so many of you know and love today, serving over 30 menu items—each one made with care and served with a Ronnie Don size smile.

As for the name? It’s one that’s close to our hearts. When Ron’s daughter, Madison, was just six years old, she started calling him “Ronnie Don.” The nickname stuck with our family, and years later it inspired the name of our shop. Every time you see our sign, you’re seeing a little piece of our family’s story.

Behind Ronnie Don’s is truly a family effort. Ron is the one behind the counter, scooping every cone with a smile and making everyone feel welcome. Madison brings new menu creations to life and shares our story through social media, helping our little shop reach so many wonderful people. And Candice is the glue that holds the entire operation together—keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes and making sure every day is a success.

This summer marks our FOURTH season as a storefront, and we couldn’t have done it without every single person who has stopped by for a cone, shared a post, told a friend about us, or simply supported our dream. You have helped turn a tiny alleyway ice cream stand into something we are incredibly proud of.

We’re just getting started. We have so many exciting things planned for the next few years, and we can’t wait to continue serving the Niagara region, creating memories, and sharing smiles with all of you.
