Five years ago, this woman walked into our shop before anyone else did.

We had just opened. The paint was still fresh. We didn't know if anyone would come through the door, and then she did.

She was our very first customer.

Five years later, she still walks in. Still smiles at us across the counter. Still one of us.

To every day-one customer who kept us going while we were still figuring it out, thank you. We wish we had a photo of each of you. We don't, but every one of your faces is in our hearts.

You made Take The Cake what it is today. We are proud, and we are grateful.
