Meet Gene 👨‍🍳

As our Sous Chef, Gene is behind a lot of what you love: from house-made bagels and English muffins to lasagna, and the daily kitchen rhythm alongside Chef Amy.

He’s always chasing the same goal: make it better than yesterday. And when he’s not at Cumin, he’s either volunteering with Kentville Fire Department or coaching Waves Volleyball U18 Men’s.

He loves the Italian Homestead 🍝 and dreams of opening his own pastry shop someday. We think he’s off to a pretty good start considering he had won gold in a national wedding cake competition when he was in Alberta.

But for now, we’re just happy to have him on the team!
