It was a special day in Kitchen Smyles - my mom's help in the kitchen was a delight and key part of the success of this ambitious Pop-Up! I am so very grateful for all of her time, skills, and support these past 2 weeks in the kitchen. I learned my love of from-scratch cooking from her, and I know part of my great passion for pushing my limits!
This week's lunch special was Sourdough Pasta served with garlic toast and Caesar salad. Sunday prep was a prep party with a dear friend (she knows how to give the gift of presence!) and we got all our lasagna prepped.

What a great way to spend my birthday! My community, friends, and family are incredible and I feel very fortunate for getting to live and work here. ♡
