Schneider's Gourmet World

Schneider's Gourmet World Welcome to Snack Heaven. From salty to sweet, we have it all: gourmet seed, gourmet seasonings, oils, popcorn makers and our exclusive Kaktus Chips.

Our mission is to make sure each and every one of our customers knows they are important to us. Wes and Rachel Peters are the owners of Schneider’s Gourmet World. They have four children and are long time residents of Saskatchewan. In July of 2014, Wes and Rachel bought and moved the company from Delisle, Saskatchewan to Neuanlage, Saskatchewan, where they live and operate the company. Rachel hand

les the sales and day-to-day operations of the business. Wes, a full time teacher, manages the production side of things. The company has three employees along side a couple of their children. They have enjoyed the Schneider’s products since 1995 when they received their first popper as a gift. Since then, they have enjoyed the superior quality and taste of the Schneider’s products. In fact, it is seldom when a popper isn’t making a batch of popcorn or Kaktus chips for the evening snack. The question isn’t, “Should we have snacks?” The question is, “What flavor should we have today?”

Now as owners of Schneider’s Gourmet World they are eager to deliver the same great product and service as before. It is their goal to make snack time a happy and enjoyable time, as well as to provide you with the best oil, best popcorn makers, best seasonings and of course the best popcorn. If you have any questions about their products, please call them at 1-800-665-6484 and they would be happy to serve you. Find us on Youtube at:

Woke up to thick fog this morning. Which also revealed the spider webs. They were everywhere.

I just wish they’d actually catch mosquitos. I watched multiple mosquitos fly right through them. What is going on here?

I am not a sewer by any stretch. But I can mend something if I have to. I also can put a button on if needed. But that is the extent of my sewing skills. I leave the rest to my mother who is literally the queen of all things sewing related. This sewing box I got as a Christmas gift which includes everything a non-sewer would need. She even embroidered my name on it. It’s definitely not something I thought I needed but I just used it to fix up my dress so now I’m grateful.

And for those of you who say just give it a try… I did. Multiple times. Let’s just say it’s safer for everyone including me not to. Me and sewing machines do not get along. And I’m okay with that.

There’s always a first for everything. And this is the first year I’ve had a potato crop failure. I’m racking my brain as to why or what I did wrong but I’m just so confused.

The first photo is one healthy plant along side an extremely tiny plant that is trying to grow. Makes no sense. The second photo is my potato crop. Planted 200 hills and if the tiny ones actually grow and produce, I will have 48 plants to harvest.

Please tell me I’m not alone. 😩

When tragedy strikes a community, there are many things we are forced to grapple with. Our province has seen our share of tragic events, and this one is no different. Immense grief, confusion, anger, sadness and more grief. Questions remain unanswered and hearts are trying to come to some sort of understanding.

As I try to reconcile how I am feeling, I am convinced that no matter what, we need to wrap our arms around each other and allow the grief and anger to be felt. At the same time though, we need to acknowledge that both families affected will carry this with them for the rest of their lives. Neither family asked for this, and neither family will ever be the same.

I am a Saskatchewan Roughrider fan and have been all my life. Rider Nation is grieving on many different levels. I truly hope that this accident will spur change not only in our organization but across the CFL. With all the knowledge we have, these kinds of accidents should be a thing of the past.

I am also a Saskatchewan resident that loves my neighbors and that includes Bhishma Rajyaguru, the young man who was killed on Saturday night. As a momma who has kids the same age, I can only imagine how gut-wrenching this is. I'm not sure I would survive the loss of one of my kids. To Bhishma's family, I am so sorry.

So as we collectively come to terms with the reality of what happened, I encourage you to love those people around you. Make every moment of your life matter. Tell your loved ones that you love them. Hug your kids. And like Michael Jackson said, "Heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race."

Every once in awhile, we find our poppers either at a garage sale or here on Facebook. And when we saw this one, we knew we had to grab it for many reasons. The biggest being how old the seasonings are. We just couldn’t let some unsuspecting customer try them only to realize how bad they were.

We estimate the contents are any where from 15-20 years old. Maybe even older. But we won’t know for sure until we open it up.

We have lived here for over 22 years and have had lilly’s for almost the same time. I am heartbroken. The dreaded lilly beetle has invaded my garden.

I had seen them earlier but thought I had gotten them all. 😢
