A quick update from Sundari’s Kitchen:

We had planned to reopen tomorrow, June 6, but due to unexpected delays with our residential move, things have not gone as planned. To avoid stretching ourselves too thin between the move and the restaurant, we have decided to postpone our reopening until Thursday, June 11.

Just to clarify, Sundari’s Kitchen is not moving locations — only our residence.

We know many of you have been patiently keeping your dosa cravings under control, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support during this transition.

We look forward to welcoming you back on June 11 and serving your favorites once again.

Dear Patrons,
Lately, our operating hours have not been as consistent due to several ongoing factors — one of the biggest being that we are currently in the middle of moving homes while also trying to keep the restaurant running smoothly. Balancing both has been one of the biggest challenges we are navigating right now.

Please know that we are doing our very best to remain open as consistently as possible while managing this transition behind the scenes.

Until we fully settle down, we kindly encourage our regulars and guests to check our Google page before visiting to avoid any inconvenience or unexpected closures.

We would also like to remind everyone that our new operating hours are now in effect, so we recommend referring to our latest posted hours before planning your visit.

We completely understand that this may be frustrating at times, and we truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support during this phase. Your kindness and support mean more to us than you know.

Supporting local businesses doesn’t always mean you have to spend money.
A simple like, comment, share, tag, referral, or positive review can go a long way for a small business owner trying to grow, survive, and stay visible in today’s economy.

Many people don’t realize that social media algorithms limit reach, especially in large groups and online communities. Sometimes one share or interaction can help a business reach hundreds or even thousands of new people.

Behind every small business is someone taking risks, sacrificing sleep, investing their time, and trying to build something meaningful for themselves and their family. Support costs nothing, but it can make a huge difference.

📣 Updated Opening Hours — Effective Immediately

As Sundari’s Kitchen continues to grow, we’ve made a few changes to our operating hours to better balance service, preparation, and the overall dining experience for our customers.

We’ve included a reference of our current hours as well as the updated schedule for easy comparison.

We’re grateful for the continued support, patience, and encouragement from our community. Thank you for keeping us busy, spreading the word, and making us part of your family meals, celebrations, and cravings ❤️

Some days messages like this honestly overwhelm me a bit.

Mitali driving all the way from Kingston just to eat here… I still can’t fully process that.

And then I hear our regulars from Cornwall and Kingston joking, “Guys, let’s kidnap Aunty” 😄 and I’m standing there thinking… this can’t be real life.

I won’t lie… there have been moments when the stress piles up so much that I’ve felt like quitting, or just walking away from everything. Running a place like this isn’t easy.

But then messages like this come in… and it changes everything.

I’m not doing anything special. Just cooking food the way I know how, with care, every single day.

Thank you Mitali, and thank you to patrons like you. Truly, without you, Sundari’s Kitchen doesn’t exist.

And the fact that people come back, bring their families, and make us part of their routine… it honestly stays with me.

It makes all of it feel worth it.
