Strawberry Bakewell 🍓

Local strawberries made into jam, layered with frangipane and whipped vanilla ganache, all tucked into a buttery pastry. These have been getting alot of attention lately, so we will try and have them as long as supplies last!

Our latest danish starts with flaky croissant pastry and baked custard, finished with peach jam and whipped white chocolate crémeux. A little rich, a little bright, and very much August.

A little look back at last week — cucumber, mint, and sunflower seeds. 🥒🌿

This one has left the menu for now, but summer is in full bloom and there’s plenty more on the way. We’ll have lots of fresh specials rolling through the café this week, making the most of everything coming in from the fields and gardens around us.

The café was closed yesterday, but behind the scenes the ovens were working overtime. 🥐🍫

Something you might not know about us is that we also have a growing wholesale side to the business. Our team spent the day rolling, proofing and baking croissants for delivery to cafés and hotels throughout the area.

We have room to work with a few more cafés, hotels and shops looking for locally made pastries. Reach out to us directly and we’ll send along all the details.

What a week.

Thank you to everyone who came through the café this week. It was one of the busiest weeks we've ever had, and we genuinely appreciate the support. Whether you stopped in for your morning coffee, picked up bread for the weekend, or made a special trip to visit us, thank you for choosing to spend a little time with us.

We'll be taking a short break over the long weekend from August 1st - August 3rd to spend some time with our families, catch our breath, and recharge.

We'll be back at it on Tuesday, August 4, with the ovens on, the coffee flowing, and the shelves full once again.

What a start to the week! 🙌

This week at the cafe our house-made sausage roll is back! It is wrapped in buttery, flaky croissant dough and baked until deeply golden. It's just the thing for an early morning breakfast or an afternoon snack with a coffee.
