🚢 And what an incredible five years it has been for Napanee River Tours! 🚢💙

Since our first cruise in the summer of 2021, more than 20,000 guests have joined us aboard the Norman Paul to experience the beauty of the Napanee River. We’ve watched sunsets, listened to live music, shared local history, hosted weddings and celebrations, welcomed musicians, storytellers and drummers—and made countless wonderful memories along the way. 🌅🎶🥂

Through it all, we’ve had the privilege of showing people just how beautiful and special our river truly is. We never tire of seeing it through the eyes of someone experiencing it for the first time. 🌊✨

None of this would be possible without our amazing crew.

From captains to first mates you have grown with us, welcomed guests, served beverages, tied lines, shared stories and helped make every cruise memorable. We are enormously grateful for every person who has been a part of our team over these five years. ❤️

And to everyone who has stepped aboard with friends or family or simply waved from the shore - thank you - it has been such a pleasure getting to know you and sharing this experience with you. 🙏⚓️

This year, Napanee River Tours is celebrating five years on the Napanee River. 🎊🖐️🎊

Unbelievable.

Five. Years.

Over the past five years, just over 20,000 people have stepped onto the deck of The Norman Paul and settled in to enjoy a cruise down our beautiful river. ⚓️🎊⚓️

Amazing. ❤️

We've watched you laugh together, enjoy the swans, point as bald eagles swirled through the sky, squeal with delight as river otters dove for cover, watch with a smile as turtles plopped off logs. 🐢🪵

We've captained and crewed almost 150 private charters. Celebrations both joyful and poignant.🎈

The Norman Paul has smilingly witnessed almost 20 weddings, countless champagne toasts and even diamond anniversaries. 💒🥂🍾

You've joined us for music cruises and drumming cruises and drag cruises and history cruises and so much more. 🎶🎸🎶

It's been a wonderful and fulfilling five years. 🚢

Come for the beautiful Napanee River, the fresh air and a relaxing cruise as always BUT.... this time if you should call and ask us if dogs are allowed we will give a resounding "yes". 😁🐾😁

Back in the late 1980s, a man came across some plans to build a boat in a magazine he was reading. And he decided to bui...

Back in the late 1980s, a man came across some plans to build a boat in a magazine he was reading.

And he decided to build that boat.

He bought some wood.

And from that pile of wood, with those plans, he built a boat with his own two hands.

It was a good boat.

A wooden dinghy.

Sturdy.

The boat enjoyed many hours on the water with the family.

In 2024, the man's son sold the old boat to his friend.

That friend was a captain with Napanee River Tours.

And Napanee River Tours asked a young local artist to paint the boat in vibrant, bright, joyful, outrageous flowers and colours.

And that artist did.

And the captain took the boat and positioned it just so underneath the sign for Napanee River Tours.

And he planted some flowers.

And he added a bench.

And now the boat has a new home.

She rests beneath the Napanee River Tours sign down beside The Waterfront - surrounded by flowers and plantings, with a little bench in front where anyone can sit down, take a rest - or a picture - and become part of her story. 🌸📸

Well then.

It's appropriate that a boat built with a man's hands sits proudly and as one with the Napanee River Tours sign.

The flagship vessel of Napanee River Tours is The Norman Paul.

She, too, was built with a man's hands. ❤️

The man's son is Matt Chapman.

His friend is Jimmy Hannah.

The local artist is Trey Eden.

Some folks are so eager for a Napanee River cruise they even try to board when she's at her night dock!!! 😂

This particular fellow was incredibly insistent and actually followed her to her home berth and knocked on our door asking for a ticket!

He eventually left but… Gosh…😁

I mean… We know the cruise up the Napanee River is super fabulous but…⚓️🦫⚓️

The only problem is… Now we have to discreetly knock on the washroom all the time as people are spending too long in there.😳
