Over the past weeks we have seen some of the other wonderful businesses in Napanee sharing their opening procedures. 🙂🏡🙂

We thought it was a wonderful idea and thought folks might like to come along with us as we open up The Waterfront and get ready to welcome our fabulous guests. 🥰📖💐🥰

The Lyman Davis.

A gorgeous two masted wooden schooner built in 1873.

She worked the Great Lakes.…carrying cargo up and down the vast network of harbours and ports.

From 1919 until 1928 her home port was Napanee.

She moored at the dock of The Waterfront. At the same place where our guests now board The Norman Paul more than 100 years later.

She knew these waters well. On countless journeys the Lyman Davis would have graced our river - sailors working her lines, sails blown....into the Bay of Quinte, down through Hay Bay and on to Great Lakes shores.

She was the fastest and the last working schooner on the Great Lakes. 

This remarkable and beautiful image…of the two ships meeting across time…the old schooner and the modern tour boat occupying the same river, separated by more than a century but united by the waters they call home - was created by Stephen Medd.

Stephen Medd and Jon McClurg will be performing together aboard the Norman Paul on our June 25 Music Cruise.

😎☀️🕶️⛱️SUMMER'S HERE!! 🌞🕶️⛱️😎

☀️🕶️☀️And the lineups for The Waterfront's patio start early! 🌅

We love patio season and we know you do too.🍹

It was a crazy day on Thursday and a lineup had already begun even before we were open!

These folks were super polite though and waited patiently while Deb got everything opened up and the coffee on and the sangria started and the flowers watered. 🪻🌻🪻

☀️ Napanee River Tours officially has a brand new spanking and shiny wheelchair ramp!! 🌊☀️

We were able to load before but this makes it even easier for folks to roll aboard, grab a spot, feel the breeze, and enjoy a cruise down the Napanee River with us. ❤️

It may not be the flashiest thing we’ve added to the Norman Paul.... but it's one of the best. 😁🥰😁

Now all we need is sunshine, good company, and someone to yell “I’m king (OR QUEEN!!) of the world!” dramatically from the upper deck. 😄

After watching the forecast closely and in consultation with some beautiful queens the decision has been made!!!! ❤️💃❤️

TROPIKALIA deserves sunshine, warm air, and true tropical energy — not the cold rain and gray skies that are forecasted for tomorrow!!

So… TROPIKALIA Drag Brunch is officially moving ONE WEEK later to:

And honestly? We think this may have worked out for the best.

Not only is the full cast still available, but TROPIKALIA will now take place during Greater Napanee Pride weekend — making the celebration even bigger, brighter, and more joyful. 🏳️‍🌈✨
