What an unforgettable experience at the 67th Zonta International Convention in Vancouver
For a few incredible days, I was surrounded by inspiring women from more than 65 countries—leaders, changemakers, and volunteers who generously give their time, energy, knowledge, and resources to create a better world for women and girls.
Every project, every conversation, and every decision was driven by one shared purpose: creating lasting change. Together, we supported initiatives that expand access to education, help end child marriage, provide opportunities for women and girls in Afghanistan, protect our environment and nature for future generations, and invest in programs that empower communities around the world.
One of the things I love most about Zonta is that it is powered entirely by volunteers. Women who choose to serve—not because they have to, but because they believe that even one act of kindness can change someone’s life.
This year marks my 10th year as a Zontian, and I am incredibly honored to begin serving as President of Zonta Club of Nanaimo for the next two years. It is a privilege to continue this journey in a new role, working alongside extraordinary women who inspire me every day.
Beyond the meetings and workshops, I made wonderful new friends from around the world, shared ideas, learned from different cultures and experiences, and came home with renewed hope, inspiration, and purpose.
My heart is full. 💛
I wanted to share this feeling with all of you because I truly believe that hope, kindness, and positive energy are contagious. When people come together with compassion and a shared vision, we can build a brighter future—not only for women and girls, but for all of humanity and for the world we leave behind.
Proud to be a Zontian. Proud to serve. And more motivated than ever to keep making a difference.
