Today marks a truly momentous day for COCO as we officially open our second location at the Hullo Ferries Nanaimo terminal! 🎉

We’re so excited to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside our amazing staff, community partners, supporters, volunteers, and friends who have helped make this dream a reality.

This isn’t just the opening of a second location. It represents more employment opportunities for people with diverse abilities, more inclusive workplaces, and the chance to introduce COCO’s mission to thousands of new people travelling through our community each week.

Every coffee poured, every sandwich served, and every purchase made helps create meaningful employment, build confidence, and open doors for individuals who too often face barriers to opportunity.

To everyone who has supported us along the way - thank you. This is your achievement too. ❤️

🌿 Growing Community, One Planter at a Time 🌿

A big thank you to for helping us brighten up our patio with these beautiful planters!

Along with adding colour and welcoming our guests, many of these herbs will eventually make their way into our kitchen, adding fresh local flavour to the dishes we serve every day.

Partnerships like this are what community is all about: local businesses supporting one another and helping create something bigger together.

And while you're at it, make sure you stop by Holden Lake Farm and pick up some of their fresh strawberries 🍓 - they are absolutely incredible!

COMMUNITY SUPPORT NEEDED!

Many of you know that supporting inclusion and opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities is something very close to our hearts at COCO. ❤️

That’s why we’re proud to help spread the word about the upcoming Special Olympics Nanaimo Burger, Beverage & Silent Auction Night!

So many incredible Special Olympics athletes are also part of our COCO family - many of them medal winners who continue to inspire us every single day with their determination, teamwork, and spirit. 🏅

We see firsthand the confidence, friendships, independence, and joy that Special Olympics brings to our athletes and their families, and we’d love for our community to come together and support this amazing organization.
