Well, Mothers Day is just around the corner. It's always a busy day and we are taking reservations!! We have decided to open for lunch for this special occasion to accommodate as many requests for reservations as possible. We will open for lunch from 12 until 230 and again for 3 seatings for dinner. We are so pleased to announce that we have installed wonderful new heat pumps. Air conditioning wasn't something that worked for us but the heat pump allows us to maintain our ambience and keep all our guests cool and comfortable. We hope you will come join us in our comfortable surroundings!!!

We would like to thank all of our guests for contributing to our place in the top 100 restaurants in Canada. Our vision when we opened was to provide a warm and welcoming environment to our guests. We wanted to focus on preparing food that we would be proud to serve to all our friends and family. Our goal wasn't to be fine dining but to offer up our food and service with the passion we felt for it. We are so humbled by this recognition and thank you all sincerely for helping us make it happen.

We would like to clear this misconception as we have been hearing all kinds of rumors. ASTERAS has NOT been sold nor is it for sale. The owner of the building has the property listed however that doesn't include the restaurant. We hope this clears up any questions or confusion. We are happy in our community and have no plans to leave 😊 Thank you for all your continued support. We look forward to seeing you soon 🙂

Hope everyone is staying cool and hydrated. In the best interests of our staff and clientele, Asteras will be closed Tuesday August 15. The extreme heat warning will make working conditions very difficult on all our staff but especially our cooks who deal with a kitchen as much as 20 degrees hotter than the ambient temperature. We appreciate your understanding and support and hope to see you all soon.

It has been a hot couple weeks!!! This has given us a reason to think. During the heat dome last year we closed for several days in the best interest of our hard working employees. This Saturday, August 6 there is an event closing Wesley street to vehicle traffic from 11 am until 9 pm. Parking in the old city quarter is always at a premium and this will certainly make finding parking much more complicated. The combination of another heat wave that is forecasted this weekend and the parking difficulties we are anticipating has caused us to draw the best conclusion for our staff and guests. We will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and will reopen for regular business on Tuesday, August 9th at 4 pm. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you soon!!
