HEFFY’S CHICKEN is a trademarked process to provide a quality chicken product to customers. The Kitchen at Pelican Landing has had staff trained on the preparation of this Fried Chicken to ensure the product meets or exceeds expectations of the manufacturer.

The Chicken is purchased frozen as a 9-piece product. Each chicken is thawed, trimmed and placed in the Heffy’s marinade overnight. The chicken is then removed from the marinade and rinsed before it is hand breaded by staff in the signature Heffy’s coating mix. The chicken in then cooked onsite and served.

Our wedges follow a similar process as they are marinated and breaded using the patented Heffy’s coating mix.

The breading/coating mix was developed over a number of years by the manufacturer and created as a MSG (monosodium glutamate) free product.

The Kitchen prepares the chicken to be hot and ready at 5 pm daily this guarantees your order will be hot and fresh. We prefer to cook based on pre-orders, but do cook extra. To ensure you don’t miss out please call ahead and we will reserve your order.

What a hot spell!! Kitchen staff may have been gotten acclimatized to the heat, the kitchen only hit 80 F today and they all mentioned having chill (me included)
