Avant qu’on arrive, cet endroit était la boutique de fleurs de Sophie, une vraie référence sur St-Viateur depuis plus de 25 ans. Peu de gens le savent, mais quand a passé au feu en 2005, Sophie a ouvert ses portes et prêté son local pour qu’on puisse continuer à servir le monde pendant la reconstruction. Une vraie voisine en or, un pilier du quartier.

Cette semaine, on a eu le bonheur de la revoir pour venir décorer notre nouveau local, une belle façon de rendre hommage à son histoire et aux racines qu’elle a laissées ici.

Before we arrived, this space was home to Sophie’s flower shop, a St-Viateur staple for over 25 years. What many don’t know is that when suffered a devastating fire in 2005, Sophie generously opened her doors and offered her space so the café could set up a temporary counter and continue serving the community while it was being rebuilt. She truly was a pillar of this neighbourhood.

This week, we had the honour of welcoming her back to decorate our shop, a small but meaningful way to honour her legacy and the roots she planted here.
