Junior Filipino Celebrates Final Week Before Relocation
After a decade of bringing Filipino cuisine to Montreal, Restaurant Junior (1964 Notre Dame Ouest) marks its last week at its current location before relocating.
Ten years ago, Filipino food was unfamiliar to many Montrealers, often enjoyed only in homes and community gatherings. Junior Filipino helped change that, introducing the city to vibrant flavors like; adobo, pancit, sisig & lumpia, while blending Filipino traditions with Montreal’s dynamic dining scene.
Now, as Filipino cuisine gains global recognition, from Michelin-starred restaurants to mainstream grocery aisles, Junior Filipino reflects on its journey of sharing food, culture, and community.
While the Notre Dame location closes this week, the team looks forward to a new chapter, continuing to serve Montreal’s love for bold, creative dining.
