A Thanksgiving Message From Stephanie:
Hi Cookie Family!
As Thanksgiving approaches, I’ve found myself reflecting on just how much I have to be grateful for. Of course, my beautiful family is at the very top of that list, but something else that holds such a special place in my heart is this little cookie business of mine, and all of you who have helped make it what it is today.
Recently, I had the incredible honour of being the keynote speaker at CookieFest Canada, where I was invited to share my story. While I wrote my speech, for the first time in a long time, I had some time to slow down, reflect and to really look back. To think in detail about where it all began, everything it took to get here, and just how far we’ve come.
I thought about the young single mom I once was, raising a toddler and a baby, working away in my home kitchen, pouring every ounce of love, creativity, and determination I had into making cookies to provide for my little girls (and SO MANY sleepless nights, surrounded by icing bags and cookie cutters). I thought about the leap of faith it took to put everything I had into opening our little storefront at 13 Main Street. I thought about our INCREDIBLE grand opening in March 2020, full of dreams and excitement, only to have the world shut down just days later due to COVID. And I thought about all the uncertainty, the long nights, the challenges, the beautiful surprises (like Christmas Cookie Challenge! (https://www.littlerosecookieco.com/christmas-cookie-challenge)), and the countless little moments that somehow brought us here.
