🎨 Our First Painting Night — What a Night!

Last Thursday, Lin and a full room of painters took over Tas' for an evening of brushes, colours, and a lot of laughs. Cherry blossom trees — every single one unique, every single one beautiful.

No experience needed. Just show up, follow along, and leave with a painting you actually made. (And yes — there's food and drinks while you paint.)

Here's the exciting part:

We're making this a regular thing. Every 3rd Tuesday of the month — it's Painting Night at Tasiang. Same great instructor, same relaxed vibe, same fun.

🎓 Tasiang goes to school! — Multiculturalism Week at O'Leary Elementary 🌍

What an incredible morning!

Today we had the honour of being part of Multiculturalism Week at O'Leary Elementary School. We presented to every class from Kindergarten to Grade 6 — sharing stories, photos, and a bit of the Chinese language. The kids were amazing — so curious, so full of questions, and so much fun to be around. 😊

A huge thank you to Scott Smith and CBDC Western PEI for organizing this wonderful program, and to O'Leary Elementary for welcoming us into your classrooms. This is what community is all about. ❤️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We did it. 5.0 stars on Google. 😂🎉

But oh man… let me tell you, today was a RIDE. 🎢

We've been working so hard — pouring everything into every dish, every smile, every late night. We finally climbed to 4.9, and we were SO close. Just one more 5-star review and we'd be there.

This morning I woke up, checked my phone, and saw the notification:

"You received a 1-star review."

Total score: 4.8.

No comment. No message. Nothing. Just… one star. 💔

I sat there thinking — what did I do wrong? Where did we fall short? I couldn't even figure it out because there were no words, just that lonely little star staring back at me.

I thought… okay. It is what it is. Just keep going. Keep cooking. Keep trying.

Then tonight — I ran into a good friend, and we got talking. Turns out… IT WAS HER. 😂😂😂

She had NO idea. She accidentally tapped 1 star instead of 5. She was mortified. I was speechless. We both just started laughing.

She fixed it. And just like that…

⭐ 5.0 ⭐

What. A. Day. 😂🎉

From heartbreak to celebration in 12 hours. You can't make this stuff up.

To every single one of you who has left us a review, shared a kind word, brought your friends, or simply walked through our door — THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart. This little restaurant in Miscouche exists because of YOU.

🎤 It's Happening — Karaoke Night at Tas'!
