Perhaps you have noticed how many fields are currently being sprayed on Manitoulin with glyphosate. The fields look brown and dead after the application of glyphosate, and only roundup-ready seeds will grow on that soil after this application. I believe most if not all bugs and soil microbes will also be dead after the application. We have little soil depth on Manitoulin and under that thin layer is fractured limestone.
