A Celebration of Life for James

James was a special part of Mom’s and someone many of our guests came to know over the years. He brought kindness, warmth, and good conversation, and our restaurant won’t feel quite the same without him. He is deeply missed by our team and by so many in our community.

Many of our guests have been asking about arrangements for James, so we wanted to share an update.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beloved member of the Mom’s family, James Moreau.

For more than 20 years, James was part of the heart of Mom’s Restaurant. Many of you knew him well, whether as a familiar face, a kind voice, or someone who always took a moment to chat. What began as serving customers often turned into friendships because that’s who James was. He had a way of making people feel welcome, remembered, and cared for.

James loved his work here. Mom’s was more than a workplace to him, it was family. He cared deeply about his co-workers, took pride in what he did, and was a steady, familiar presence to so many in our community.
Having worked alongside Louie and F***y for decades, James became part of the fabric of this restaurant and the memories made here. His kindness, laughter, loyalty, and unmistakable spirit left a mark that cannot be measured.

We will miss him beyond words.

As we move forward, we know James will remain with us in the countless memories shared within these walls, in the friendships he built, and in the care we continue to show one another as a restaurant family. We will think of him often, in the everyday moments, in the laughter, and in everything we do here at Mom’s.

To James’ family and loved ones, we send our deepest condolences and all our love.
Always remembered. Never forgotten.

We’re back!

After a whirlwind four days of renovations, we’re officially open again and honestly, we’re still a little in awe of how much was accomplished in such a short time.

Fresh paint, beautiful new tables, updated finishes and the same classic Mom’s you know and love.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff, who worked right alongside us to make it happen. We truly couldn’t have pulled this off without their energy, patience, and willingness to roll up their sleeves!
