***Congratulations***
To our good friend Donnie, a non-resident hunter from Tennessee and hunting buddy to many among our staff, who came to BC for the opening day of mustang season. He got his kill right at sunrise, not too far from Douglas Lake Indian Reserve and couldn't look any happier than in this picture, even if he tried.
Donnie isn't one to look at trophies much, so this little meat-horse will be a welcome addition to his freezer.
If you have recipes for Donnie, besides smoked maple-flavoured breakfast sausage (just like he smoked this little c**t with his Re*****on in a well-guided shot, hahahah), spicy broncoronies, horse rouladen, and horse lasagna, please let us know in the comments.
Bonus points if you write them there in Braille, then we don't have to get an interpreter.
Horses are an invasive species in the Americas, brought here by our ancestors, the colonizers, for a plethora of reasons. These feral populations often remain unregulated due to superstitions surrounding these animals, usually peddled by those not in touch with, as Donnie puts it, "their inner Frenchman".
If you have a cool hunting story from mustang season, let us know in the comment section (but, please, spare us the boring ones)!
