Poutinefest is a whole weekend of restaurants putting their poutine creation forward. We put a burger on ours and took the bun off entirely.

Crispy fries, squeaky curds, and gravy hold up smash beef, pickles, tomatoes, and a stupid amount of secret sauce. It's not subtle and it's not meant to be.

Voting is open through Sunday. Come taste it, then help us take the title.

We put a burger on top of poutine and skipped the bun entirely.

Crispy fries carry squeaky Québec cheese curds and rich gravy. Juicy Ontario smash beef goes on next, then crunchy pickles, fresh grape tomatoes, and a RIDICULOUS amount of our secret sauce. Every bite is the full smash burger experience, messy, loaded, and impossible to forget.

That's our entry for Poutinefest, the Smash Burger Poutine. Voting is online this year, no passport needed, and it runs July 31 to August 2.

You'd think a weekend this loud would mean skipping the pub for the tents.

Not at The Leeky Canoe. Our patio sits one block from Market Square, so you get the music and the vendor market without giving up your table or your pint. Duck in between sets, or swing by before the movie starts.

While you're in, try our Poutinefest entry, the Smash Burger Poutine, on the menu all weekend only.

Summerfest runs July 31 to August 2. We're open through all of it.
