We’re open Friday July 17th

Cuddle up during this thunder and lightning storm but come on down tomorrow morning to La Maison Rouge at the Resort (494 Arbutus Drive) for Fresh Made on Mayne Breakfasts, a selection of our baked goods (think Big Cheese, Sausage Rolls, Wild About Blueberry Scones, Pain au Chocolat, Brownies, Buttertarts, Carrot Cake, Cookies) and Good Strong Coffee, Smoothies and Espresso Drink options…..

Have you ever heard of Banoffee? I’ve made some Banoffee Millionaire squares that will be available at the cafe and at the Market. Something New to try. Shortbread Crust, Salted Caramel, Banana, Tons of Chocolate Ganache, Whipped Cream & Crispearls.

Sorry we will not be at the Market this Saturday July 11, 2026.

We will however be open at our Cafe. (494 Arbutus Drive)

We will have a NICE selection of baked goods,
Fresh Made to order Breakfasts, Espresso drinks (Hot & Cold), Smoothies,
Paninis (toasted or not)

Even our “Mayne Burger” and Pulled Pork Sandwiches will be available. “For breakfast?” you say…. “it’s been known to happen” I say 😜

Open from 7:30 to noon (ish)

For FRIDAY, July 10th

La Maison Rouge WILL be open at our Cafe tomorrow morning.
(at the resort 494 Arbutus Drive)

We will be offering Breakfasts and some baked goods while we also do market prep.

Come and see us in action.

Grab a coffee, smoothie or a full breakfast and have a lovely visit in our pretty courtyard.

Just to let you all know that we will be open at the Cafe - 494 Arbutus at the Resort from

8am until 2pm tomorrow - Tuesday July 7th. (yes one extra hour)

This is just a trial as we notice people are often showing up around 1ish when we are closing…
So let’s see if opening an hour longer is helpful..

PS Our extra “add-On Special” for Tuesday is pictured. Island Farms Chicken Thigh Burrito with Rice, Peppers, Cheese, Onions and Cheese Sauce. We’ve already sold one!!!

FOR TUESDAY July 7th
We will be OPEN from 8am until 2pm.
That gives you a little bit longer to come on down and get a Smoothie and grab one of our All Day Breakfasts or Lunch Specials.
Yes an Extra Hour. Just a trial… see how it goes.

Tomorrow, as well our Breakfasts, we will have;

- A BIG Banana Bread (for everyone that asked today (❤️🍌🍞)
- Fresh Mayne Island Beef Burgers. (the Mayne Burger)
- We’ve Roasted a Chicken so that means Fresh Roasted Chicken n Cheese Quesadillas
- Beet & Boursin Salad with Maple Boursin, Beets, Chick Peas, Mixed Peppers, Apple Slices, Pecan Pieces & Greens tossed in a Pomegranate Balsamic Vinaigrette.
- Tex Mex Blackened Steak & Pasta Salad with Thin Sliced Blackened Sirloin, Rotini Pasta, Peppers, Corn, Grated 2yr Cheddar, Carrots, Tomatoes and a ranch dressing

Info for Sunday July 5th:
We always say we gotta crack a lot of eggs at La Maison Rouge. And we’ve been cracking a lot more of them since starting up fresh, made to order breakfasts at our cafe 494 Arbutus at the Resort.

But here’s a first…. A 3-yolker!! From Journey’s End Farm, our local egg-supplier. This triplicate special went into our Gluten Free Scones this morning for the Market. I do spend a lot of time doing math for our recipes as we often get a variety of egg sizes… but we LOVE it!

We will be back at the cafe tomorrow. Opening at 8am with Fresh Eggs and Breakfasts, Fresh Carrot Cake, Fresh Brownies, Fresh Cinnamon Buns, Fresh Scones, Fresh “the BIG Cheese”, Fresh Pain au Chocolat and good Strong Fresh Coffee as well as a full selection of Espresso Drinks, Italian Sodas, Ice Cream Floats, Milkshakes and SMOOTHIES. See the theme is FRESH!

A update from La Maison Rouge

What a fun time I had this morning. Thanks to everyone who came to support our “pop-up opening” at our Cafe.

These are our regular hours moving into July & August 2026.
We apparently like to travel and pop-up from time to time… so watch this space for updates. 😜

Next… we hope to see you at the market July 4th.

And apparently, I am also singing at the market around Noon.
Many thanks to Joy and Marilyn who will make this possible for me to do.

For those who have asked.. we WILL have Irish Wheaten Bread at the market. Please msg if you want one held for you.
