As the season comes to a close, the Aquí es México Restaurante Ltd. and Mextizo teams had the pleasure of spending a beautiful time together in Victoria, British Columbia — and we couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful way to celebrate. 🇲🇽❤️🇨🇦
One of the highlights of our visit was the joy and privilege of welcoming and visiting the magnificent ARM Cuauhtémoc, the Mexican Navy’s iconic three-masted training ship. ⛵🇲🇽
Sailing into Victoria with 281 crew members and naval cadets aboard, the Cuauhtémoc offered a spectacular sight, with cadets standing high along the yards as the ship arrived in the harbour. The 295-foot vessel visited Victoria as part of its 92-day North Pacific training voyage, carrying with it not only Mexico’s proud naval tradition, but also a message of friendship, cultural exchange, and connection between Mexico and Canada.
For all of us at Aquí es México and Mextizo, being able to step aboard and experience this beautiful symbol of our country so far from home was truly special. It was a moment to celebrate our roots, our community, and the bonds that continue to bring Mexico and Canada closer together. 🇲🇽🤝🇨🇦
Thank you, Victoria, for the wonderful memories — and thank you to the officers, crew, and cadets of ARM Cuauhtémoc for such a memorable visit.
¡Buen viento y buena mar! 🇲🇽⛵🌊
