A box of 24 chocolate minis in my Classic design. These were a gift for my sister-in-laws birthday. Wrapped with a pretty bow. 🎁

I’m fairly certain I’ll be adding minis to my menu in January when I resume taking orders. In the meantime I’ll keep practicing these little guys. These are 2-bite minis. Some call them midis. Whatever you call them….they are yummy!

This order was for a Celebration of Life for someone I knew—someone I went to high school with. She was my age. She had children. And we even shared the same name. So this order was a difficult to pipe, emotionally.

When the order was placed, I was asked to create bright and cheerful florals, with no roses or carnations. The inspiration photo I was given featured various shades of pink and green, with touches of white, yellow, and blue, so I used that as my colour palette. I was also told that Kim loved daisies and gerberas, so I made sure to incorporate both into the design. I piped 24 minis and a Sophisticated bouquet of 7 standard sized cupcakes.

A few people who attended Kim’s Celebration of Life reached out to me privately to compliment my cupcakes. That truly meant a lot to me. I’m grateful that my cupcakes brought a little joy to such a sad occasion.

I had the pleasure of creating dessert table treats for my friend’s bridal shower last weekend. Of course I made floral cupcakes but chose minis instead. I also made lemon glazed cookies (OMG so good), chocolate chip cookies and a coffee mousse (not shown). I’ll admit I was disappointed with my coffee mousse, but the mini cupcakes were so adorable once placed on the stand.

I think I’ll be adding minis to my menu when I resume order taking in January. They really are a great for larger events with multiple desserts.
