Another great example of adaptive reuse with Canadian Commercial! A new medical clinic has opened in the former B**r Store location at Sherwood Forest Mall. The 400m2 facility has 18 exam rooms and room for 9 doctors plus support staff.

Designed for student living, 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 this 8-storey, 170-unit residence transforms a challenging wedge-shaped site beside the CN railway into a bright, connected community. Its narrow form maximizes natural light and ventilation, while generous glazing, outdoor amenities, terraces and community pathways create spaces to live, learn and connect. Locally sourced brick anchors the playful steel-clad design, while parasoleil panels provide passive solar shading, reducing summer cooling demands. The project’s energy-efficient approach also qualified for CMHC MLI Select incentives for Energy Efficiency and Affordability. 🌞🚲

Big in scale, bold in design. This project represents nearly 300 architectural drawings and over 500,000 ft² of gross floor area. 📐🗞️

The development will bring two new 21-storey residential towers to the site, creating 422 new residential units. 🏗️ A five-storey podium will anchor the towers with ground-floor commercial spaces, building amenities, and pedestrian connections that weave through the site.

Atop the podium, a rooftop amenity terrace and pool will offer residents a shared space to relax, connect, and take in the surrounding views. 👙🍹

The towers’ vertical massing creates a strong architectural presence, culminating in a pair of distinctive aerial canopies designed to leave a lasting impression.

Rum on a roof!🍾🏣 Drawing on our experience in Berumda, David introduced Bluestone to the 'Bermuda roof wetting'. A Bermudian roof wetting is a celebratory tradition that honors the completion of a building's roof. It involves the construction crew, architects, and owners gathering to pour Gosling's Black Seal Rum over the new roof and passing around the bottle to bless the structure and celebrate the hard work. 🎉👷🏗️ Congratulations to Bluestone on this milestone!
