Today, I live to tell the story—and for that, I am deeply grateful.
When I look back at every second, I realize how incredible it is to be given a second chance. Maybe it’s one in a hundred… because even with all the advances in science, not everyone survives a cardiac arrest. That’s why, from the bottom of my heart, I can say the greatest trophy 🏆 I’ve ever won is this second opportunity at life.
I can still say I feel weak… but at the same time, I feel stronger than ever. My heart feels like a brand-new carburetor—like a smoker that’s been fully cleaned, reset, and brought back to life, ready to run again.
To all the incredible nurses and doctors who fight every hour to save lives—there is no prize that could ever match what you do. When you’re on that table, nothing else matters… not what you have or don’t have. And to my family, your tears showed me a love so deep I will carry it with me forever. You never truly realize how much people care until you face something like this.
To everyone who kept me in their thoughts and prayers—thank you. I truly felt it. To my friends, my followers, and everyone who stood by me and understood what I was going through—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I’m back. And with this second chance, I plan to live, to celebrate, and to be grateful every single day. I’ll see you at the next Ribfest I’ll be dancing out of gratitude, and I’ll be grilling out of gratitude.
When I was in the table when I called the operation room, the nurse would talk to me about ribfest about how I make the ribs as the doctor was doing his miracle. The doctor also was in the conversation. I realize how much I love grilling. I’m truly a Ribber for life. And the Latino dream is here for a good time and a long time YA TU SABE…
I thank God for every single blessing. 🙏🏽🔥🏆
