Chef has entered his fall vegetable era.

Sweet potato cream sauce, roasted spaghetti squash, Jay’s famous pickled pears, finger chilis, chili crisp sweet potatoes, mozzarella, goat cheese and pomegranate molasses.

There is a lot going on here. All of it good.

Beef Cheek Ravioli. Yes, it’s cheeky. We couldn’t help ourselves.

Beef cheek, gorgonzola and caramelized onion ravioli tossed with garlic, shallots, chilies, roasted mushrooms and white wine, finished with pecorino and truffle oil. $32

Each one is basically a tiny pasta blanket for braised beef, which is exactly the energy you’ll need tonight.

Warren Hargraves is live on the patio tonight and tomorrow night from 7 to 10pm. It’s dropping to 16 degrees, which in London means one guy will still show up in shorts. For everyone else, grab a seat by the fire or bring a sweater or a blanket. Carbs also count as a layer.

Our accountant says we’re crazy.

A double smash burger for $12. Beef we grind by hand in house, our own scratch-made cheese and sauces, crispy edges, fries on the side. He’s been lying down in a dark room ever since.

Tuesday to Friday, 12 to 2pm, with the purchase of a drink. Dine in only.

Boss won’t let you out for lunch? Happy hour runs 3 to 5pm and after 9pm daily, with $12 wings, warm castelvetrano dip, bocconcini and garlic shrimp, $20 pizzas and $6.50 beers. We won’t tell.

The weather app says less than a 20% chance of rain and less than 1 mm.

Which, in Ontario, is basically a legally binding guarantee of absolutely nothing.

So we’re choosing optimism.

Glen Bennett is on the keyboard tonight AND tomorrow night from 7–10pm on the Los Olivos patio.

Cloudy skies. Great music. Cold drinks. Excellent food. And the prettiest patio in town looking particularly pretty.

Come spend the night with us. If four raindrops fall, we’ll try not to panic.

Apparently lunch needed a better reason to leave your desk.

$12 DOUBLE SMASH.

Two patties of house-ground beef, house-made cheese and fresh-cut fries cooked in beef tallow, because canola oil has never done anything exciting for anyone.

Tuesday–Friday | 12–2pm
$12 with the purchase of a beverage

And because sitting on a patio holding one beer at a time seems wildly inefficient:

Pan seared, crispy skinned sablefish over local corn succotash with fried okra and mesquite maple crema. $37.

It’s crispy, buttery, smoky, summery and frankly making the rest of the menu a little insecure.

And Glenn Bennett is back on the patio tonight AND tomorrow night from 7–10pm.

Come eat the fish. Stay for Glenn. Have another drink because it’s August and we all know how this ends.
