Did you know.. long before Billy’s, Jeff was building his career at one of London’s most well-known restaurants the Great West Steak House.

He spent years there, eventually becoming the head chef and earning a reputation for making an incredible steak. One of the stories we still love to tell is that when Prince came to London in 1983, Jeff had the opportunity to cook a steak for him.

This article from 2000 is a little look back at Jeff’s days at Great West, where he spent many years working his way up to head chef and just a few years after this article was published, Jeff started here at Billy’s.

A lot has changed since those days at Great West. Restaurants have come and gone, London has changed, and decades have passed. But Jeff’s love for cooking never did.

We’re so proud to carry a little piece of that history forward at Billy’s. What started as a career many years ago became a lifetime of cooking, creating memories, and feeding generations of Londoners.
