✨ A Little Cleaning on Our Day Off! ✨
Even on our day off, there’s always something to do! 😄
Two Sundays ago, we gave the outside of Lillooet Inn Restaurant a good pressure wash. 🚿✨
Trees, sidewalks, and the side of the building .... everything got a nice fresh clean! 🧼
And a little message to our four-legged friends… 🐶😂
Thank you for always choosing the same spots to do your “business.”
At least you make our cleaning job a little easier! 🤣❤️

“Does anyone know how to repair a TELUS fiber optic internet cable?
Looks like a mouse chewed through the line and now our business internet is completely down 😭
TELUS said it may take a while because of the long weekend.
If anyone can fix fiber optic cables or knows someone who can, please message me ASAP. Thank you!”

❤️ Valentine’s Day at We Are One Lillooet ❤️

Valentine’s Day is about spending meaningful time
with the people you love ~~~~
sharing good food, good conversations, and good energy.

Over the past while, we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes.

We upgraded to a stronger, larger grill and deep fryer
so we can cook better, cleaner, and more consistently.
We’ve also spent countless hours improving the quality of our sushi,
focusing on freshness, balance, and how the food makes you feel after the meal.

Inside the restaurant, you’ll notice some changes too.
We added a new LED world map on our wall ~~
a reminder that we are all connected, and we are all one.
You’ll also see our Lillooet Time wall clock,
because here, we believe in slowing down and being present.

This Valentine’s Day, we invite you to come
share a meal with someone you care about,
feel welcomed, and experience the changes we’ve made.

We’re not perfect ~~
but we are committed to working harder every day
to serve healthier, higher-quality food
that’s made with care and respect for your body.

🦑 Calamari, made with intention.

Calamari is a dish ~~ not a specific type of squid.

Most calamari rings you see are made with regular squid.
They’re larger, cheaper, and commonly used because
rings help increase portion size and profit margins.

That’s the industry standard.

But we chose a different approach.

Our calamari is made with Han-chi (spear squid) ~
smaller, more delicate, and naturally more tender.
It costs more and is harder to work with,
but the texture is softer, the flavor cleaner,
and it’s easier to enjoy without feeling heavy.

We don’t choose ingredients to maximize size.
We choose them for quality, taste, and how the food makes you feel.

That’s why our calamari is a special.
Made with care, not shortcuts.

We took a full month off.
No rush, no stress ~ just real rest.

We stepped away, recharged, and came back refreshed after burnout.
During the break, we upgraded the restaurant too ~
new cutlery, knives, forks, spoons, miso bowls, ramen bowls… every detail.

Only one day left.
We played hard, rested well ~ now we’re more than ready to work again.

One small but important change:
we removed table salt and replaced it with natural sea salt.
Why? Because refined table salt is heavily processed and stripped of minerals.
Sea salt keeps its natural trace minerals and supports better balance and health.

Small changes, better choices ~ for healthier meals and a healthier table.
