June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day — a time to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.
To mark the occasion, Chef Ricky Strongquill has created a special feature: our Wapiti Burger! Fun fact: wapiti is the Indigenous name for what many of us know as elk and means “white rump” — a nod to one of the animal's most distinctive features.
Inspired by a connection to the land and traditional foodways, this burger is Chef Ricky's way of sharing a little culture, a little history, and a whole lot of flavour.

☀️ The wait is over… Stone House 1891 is back for another season on Pelee Island! 🍕🍷🌊

We’re officially reopening Thursday, May 14th from 11:30am–8:00pm and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for lakefront dining, wood-fired pizzas, cold drinks, sunsets, and another unforgettable island summer.

Whether you’re a longtime regular or planning your first visit of the season, we’ll be ready for you. See you soon, Pelee! ✨
