For those who may or may not know Kava Café & Bakery | Woman Owned Local Cafe & Bakery has had the pleasure of starting from nothing with the one and only, chef Lizz Joncas

Our journey has been crazy to say the least. We started Kava like many people do with an idea - but how do we make a dream a reality?

Well we always knew it couldn't just be us Emily Bas & Aaron Andary. We knew we wanted to build a place we thought was special, without us knowing it, and help from a stellar team - that was exactly what happened.

Lizz joined our team very early on, and the dream we started, began to take form by the hands of those who joined us along the way. It's never a dull moment with Lizz, she has an unstoppable creativity, an unbelievable work ethic, and you can always rely on her when you need her most.

The years have flown by here, every one with more changes and growth than the last. That included growth for our team, and Lizz was no exception - food styling, commercials, beginning a role as Head Chef at Maiden Lane Wine & Cocktail Bar and then eventually taking on her most exciting opportunity to date, joining the cast of this year's season of Halloween Bakeshop on the Flavour Network

We couldn't be more proud of how far she's come in these past 4 years and we can't wait to see what else is in store for her.

With that we wish her all the best as she moves on from her position here at Kava, wishing you all the success in the world.
