Looking to see if there would be any interest if I bought corn from a very reputable farm in central hastings and brought it to horning Rd to sell this weekend. It is the exact same corn variety and all as Mallens Corn. I have personally eaten it and it is awesome!! Let me know what you guys think!

We asked which locally grown sweet corn you drive out of your way for. You answered, and the results are in.

Readers named Mallen' Corn most often, with Lakeshore Farms Market and Wendy's Country Market close behind. Every grower on the ballot got votes, which is the part we like: somebody out there drove past two other stands to get to theirs, then took the trouble to tell us about it.

The point was never to crown anybody. It was to get some attention on the people growing our corn.

All seventeen are in the Sweet Corn Guide, with where to buy from each one, when, and what to do with a dozen cobs once you get them home. The guide stays up and we will keep adding to it.
