Interested in joining Oxfam at Queen's University and couldn't make the first meeting? Want to volunteer for a meaningful initiative which is low commitment? The fair trade Snack Bar is a division of OXFAM Queen's which supports farmers worldwide by selling not-for-profit products Monday-Thursday from 10:20-2:20. Volunteer applications are out now for a time commitment as low as 1 hour a week and are due on Friday, January 24th at 11:59 pm!

Oxfam at Queen's University is hosting their annual Hunger Banquet, a powerful event that sheds light on global hunger and poverty. The evening will feature a three-course meal, two guest speakers, and an interactive activity. Bronwen Powell will discuss inequalities in global fruit and vegetable production, and Elaine Power will provide a local perspective, discussing food security issues in Canada. Admission includes a wristband for the Queen's International Development Week After-Party at Alehouse (cover + line-skip).

- Tickets are only $15! Must be purchased online by 12pm Feb. 9th

- All ages

- Semi-formal

- Hunger Banquet is part of International Development Week, which is an initiative run through QIAA that aims to bring awareness to issues in global development

- Cost of admission includes locally-sourced 3-course meal, 1 free drink ticket (alcoholic/non-alcoholic), and a cover+lineskip wristband for the International Development Week After-Party at Alehouse

- The reception starts at 6:00 pm, and dinner will be served at 6:45 pm

- Flexibility regarding dietary restrictions

- All proceeds support Loving Spoonful Kingston and Oxfam Canada
